Re: EF 70-200 f/2.8L
Alright, I'm going to Canon today for sure. So get in touch with me ASAP if you want to take advantage of what's a killer deal.
EDIT: Too late - this will be listed as fixed again in about a week or so.

I understand that you are going to raise the price. I have no intention of purchasing your lens if I was going to pay that much I would just get something new. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...Autofocus.html
Especially something that I believe was banged up like I believe your is since there really isnt many ways to screw up the threads the way you did without some sort of dropping of the lens.
I had no interest in bashing your thread all I asked was how much did the fix cost ya.

LOL, there's a reason you're neg-rep I guess.
The market price on these is pretty much standardized by now. That lens new is on sale from BH to $1300 (your link). I'll be asking $950 local for it. I'm happy for you that to you $350 isn't worth your trouble to buy a used lens. Some of us value owning a 70-200 2.8L AND an ef 50 1.4 for the same amount of money. All buying a lens new gets you is a 1 year warranty. A new lens costs more of a premium than the price of any repair, and the chances of needing a repair in the first year are slim to none. Quite frankly, $950 will be a firm price. If you look around, you'll see that most often the asking is $1000.
The last time I put this up for sale (an ad I got rid of because I had a buyer who asked me to wait until his next paycheck, I did, then he disappeared after I got rid of the ad), I explained what happened. Yes, the lens had a fall that dinged the thread (more accurately, I had a fall, and the lens was in my hand). The lens has also been checked out by Canon and is perfect with the exception of the filter thread. In addition to Canon checking it out, I have used it quite a bit, and it's perfect, only flaw is the thread, which will soon be fixed.
