im not trying to be a butthead but i am protecting me and my family. i want to do a backround check because like i said, i do not want the law comming back to me saying i did anything wrong.
and if that means that i dont sell the gun that is fine by me. i do know as a private seller that i dont have to do all the backround check but i do it for MY PIECE OF MIND

are you 21? have you ever commited a felony? have you ever been convicted of domestic violence? if it is yes, no, no, then yes you can own a firearm. Good Luck how ever, i tried my hardest to get my gun registered and no one would do it /shrug.
To the OP, in Virginia you aren't required to verify anything, all id do is make a bill of sale, but each their own, i am not even sure if the state police do this anymore in virginia if your not an FFL.

yeah 24yrs old. 6+years in the army. no felonys but 2 misdaemnors** for eluding police, reckless driving( passed a cop at 143) btw. and no domestic at all. was just never sure about the 2 misd...

i have a friend who actually has almost the exact same charges as you and he bought a gun the same day i did from a show and his back ground came back clear, so you should be good
