I used to run MX's 235/45/17 for summer/track days and they got heat cycled to death way before the treads wore down enough to replace them. Not very good for rain, but stick well in the dry and take heat very well too.
I just bought the Azenis 615 in a 255/40/17 to try them out. I suspect they will stick a bit better, wear out a bit faster, and possibly get greasey a few laps sooner. We'll see in about a month at VIR.
