Camshaft Retainers 12mm bolts:
B16A/B17A....16 lbs
B18C1/C5......20 lbs

Camshaft Retainers 10mm bolts:
B series Vtec...8 lbs or 96 inch lbs

Straight from the Helms manuals

Ok soooo what would of caused two of them to snap... It was like they pulled apart... but my tq wrench didnt click yet?

two things...

previously over torqued bolts, or your torque wrench needs recalibrated.

Ok well ive got 6 extra bolts from a friend im gonna try those hopefully its the old bolts

are you using an in'lb wrench or ft-lb? the ft-lb ones arent very accurate at 6-8lbs

I figured that... and yes that is part of my prob... But I really didnt want to buy a smaller tq wrench for four bolts.... Im gonna see if one of my friends has a smaller one tom...

Four bolts? What GSR are you working on?

There's eight 10mm bolts on the cam retainers.
Then another...four for the rear main seal,
two for the thermostat housing,
five for the water pump,
four for the oil pump,
four for the oil pick-up,
eight for the oil baffle,
and nineteen for the oil pan,

All of which, NEEDS to be torqured to 96 in lbs and requires a small inch pound torque wrench.

Do yourself a favor and buy a inch pound torque wrench.
