Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the '88 CRX came with a D16.
The stock exhaust manifold was on the car. Bought a DC Sport 4-1 header from a friend, but it didn't fit. Not enough clearance in the engine bay.
Stock manifold is already off & has a few stripped bolts. I'm leaning towards a OBX 4-2-1 SS header for $219.
This car is mainly used as a daily driver, not for high power output. But if I can free up 5-6hp fixing a problem why the hell not!

The header I bought was a long tube (no joints) that ran from ports to a collector at the cat. I tried to drop it in from the top & bring it up from the bottom, but could not get it into place.
From the top, I could drop the collector all the way down, but there wasn't enough room to rotate header into place.
From the bottom, the tubes could not fit between the engine block and radiator support.
I guess if I took the motor out, then it would fit. Sorry if my description was a bit vague. It's kind of hard to describe.
You're right.. on a stock block.. probably not gonna do much, but every bit counts.
