s300 hands down... No chip burning or none of that crap, you can make adjustments and what not on your own with a laptop

and its well worth it, s300 has boost control along with a few other features... he will spend a few hundred on a good boost controller plus its nice being able to make small adjustments yourself, s100 you have to pull and burn a chip if you want to make an adjustment which can cause problems if you have to drive an hour or so for a simple adjustment you could do yourself. Imo In the end it will pay for itself

You have to spend extra money to have the boost control parts added in the ECU (Hondata charges $50 for the parts and installation). So now we're up to $450 more than an S100 if you want boost control for the S300.

So roughly $650 for an S300 with boost control, plus the installation cost of the S300 depending on who sells it to you. I think that's a shitload of money just to be able to tune an OBD1 OEM Honda ECU.

I'm not saying that an S300 is a bad deal, just that it may be an unnecessary waste of money depending on the capabilities that are needed.

There are other options out there too, look into Neptune also. I'm not sure if the Neptune software is set up to use the unused PWM output on the ECU (that's what Hondata uses for boost control) but if it is it should be very compatible. I'm not really in the loop on all the Honda tuning options anymore.
