LOL... this is a good read. Glad you guys have a sense of humor. Thanks for pointing out the spelling error. I have to stop doing this stuff so late at night. I completely missed that. I think my friend pulled a fast one on me. I had no idea this was a mostly import crowd.

I don't want you guys to think we are against imports. My last race team I had 14 gen 1 RX-7's (7 running on any given day LOL). I have also raced with Saab's, VW's and an 1 Acura. It just so happens that today I have a Mustang club. The whole "Mustang Vs. The World" is just an ad gimmick to get people's attention.

For what it's worth, this is a rental, not a drag race. We limited it to 60 cars for max amount of passes. It's for fun and to get people off the streets and on the track.

If I can get commitment from you guys, I will be more than happy to orginize another rental and you will all be welcome to bring any car you would like. I just want to have fun and encourage the right venue for the sport.

Let me know what you think and sorry for the confusion.

Spaz

Well,

We had another great day at the track! Sunny skies and 85 degrees yielded some serious fun. I hope all of the spectators and drivers had enjoyed themselves.

The winner for the best reaction time was a new friend to Five Guys Racing, Mike. Mike took the $100 home with a .003 second reaction time! Our fastest 4 cylinder was a WRX driven by Torrey R., ran and amazing 10.4 at 68 mph! Our fastest 6 banger was a 2010 Mustang driven by a “first time ever” racer named Angel, who ran a 10.000 @ 69 mph. The fastest V8 car was a Fox coupe driven by Chris P., who ran deep in the 6’s with a blurring 6.16 @ 111.89 mph!

We had a handfull of imports from this site that showed up and we welcomed the in. It was nice to meet you guys. Next time we hope to see more of you! Oddly enough, only 2 American Muscle cars that were not Mustangs showed... very disappointing.

I want to thank our host at Old Dominion Speedway for their service. They did a great job!

I would also like to thank our sponsors at Street Car 1320 Clothing, Thump Racing, and Fore Precision Works for their ongoing support of Street Jam Racing / Five Guys Racing, and the auto enthusiast community.

I definitely need to thank the guys at Excessive Motorsport Performance Center and Springfield Motor Sports. Both vendors have been supporters of our events since the beginning and we very much appreciate all of the efforts with promoting the races as well as Shop owner attendance at our events. You guys rock!

We also had some spectators from the Unites States Marine Corps who came out in support of one of their own, Josh, who has an amazing SN95 Cobra that was running 6.8’s on DR’s. Thanks to all of you for your service to our country. I know it was a lo-key track rental, but I hope you guys had a good time.

Thanks,

Spaz
