Re: First off-track experience @ VIR and trial by fire rotor change!
i went off at road atlanta twice. Forgot about a turn once and another i then broke my brake pads in half and lost my brakes. (probably from not maintaining them properly)
this was when i had the 320rwhp SR20 in the car, scary coming out of the back straigt at about 6,000rpm in 5th to not have the brakes you need.

I've run Roat Atlanta a few times too. Having no brakes comming off the back straight into 10a would be a nitemare! You're flying in at over 130 and then braking downhill to a 90 degree left turn!

hahhah i know. i just aimed for the sand dunes.
i love road atlanta. i wanted to go back ever since i got bigger brakes but never had a motor setup that i could be happy with.
the "s" s were bad ass i loved the 4th gear pulls through those

Lots of good places... I learned the basics from auto-xing and going to the Panoz school at Road Atlanta. Now I do HPDE's for fun. You can go to www.trackschedule.com to see all the events at all the tracks around the east coast. My next event will Proabably be the "Viper Days" event at the VIR full course in August.

since joe pretty much took ownership of the viper we might get the new zo6 for me. i will more than likely order it in yellow. i think that will be the perfect track car for me. untill then we will probly use the srt4 for the courses, because their is no waaaay in hell ill risk slaming the viper into a wall.

Nah... those cars weren't at VIR this weekend. However, it was an event sponsored by the Mazda Driver's Club so there were lots of Miata's, RX-7's, and RX-8's.
Quicky... if you're looking for a Z06 you can get new ones for 9 grand under sticker b/c of the C6 comming out. I'd go get a 2002 and pay around $35,000 for a cherry one then mod it... Oh wait, that's what I did! But, I got an '01.
