From my experience with the bitch pin on all my swaps I always use the bolt from the a/c bracket. Works perfect, never had a problem getting one out. As far as shifters, I had a dual bend. It was just as tight feeling as a stocker with energy suspension shift bushing and a weighted knob (which is what I went back to)

old #3 phillips screw driver does wonders at removing the pin.
