speaking strictly about games, not flaming anyone.

GT4 > Forza for car selection.

Forza > GT4 for physics DAMAGE

GT4 > Forza for track genuine layouts.

Forza > GT4 for overall graphics.

GT4 > Forza for better Simulation overall

Forza > GT4 for Online capability

GT4 > Forza for Less "Ricer" experience and more options in regards to gameplay.

I own a PS2, friend owns XBox and Modded XBox+
Personally, on same TV, forza's car have a little more detail, but i dont look at the car when i drive, i use the actual drive view. As for track detail and faithfulness to the true to life thing? GT4 hands down.
Personally, almsot every car in GT4 handles differently. some of them are a little off, but the PS2 is at its processing limit with GT4. We both run Component output on our TVs/ so image/detail is not important. We want gameplay at this point.

XBox lacks the visual programming of shaders to handle the same track textures. But their modeling is good.

I would play either one in reality. I just own a PS2 however. Both are awesome, and its about time XBox folks got something to play worthwhile in the Racing genre.

Did you see the money microsoft used to promote this game. More than any other game so far for the Xbox. Everyone knows the more advertising put forth the more a game will grab peoples attention. Let see also referring to t.v. when did Forza come out compared to GT4? Match any car in Forza to its real life characteristics and no car in Forza matches up. You gotta love putting those bodykits on though. As if NFSU didn't play that one out already. I'll have to dig it up but they did a driving comparison using real drivers playing the game and the actual course. Forza should a 20% difference between the game and the real course and GT4 had only a 11% difference. Form over function, Forza wins! Function over form, GT4 wins. The money put forth by Microsoft to lobby game mags is ridiculous. Sort of like the dumbass before posting a video comparision from a Xbox site. In the end play any game you want to. I have both games at my house and play them both equally the same! Either way happy gaming!

GT4 didnt spend 1/5 of the same money.

im a fan of the simulation.i despise nfsu as well as its sequel,midnight club or any othor really arcadish style racing game.im a big fan of the gran turismo series in general owned every one and ive also played forza and didnt like.too arcadish in my opinion.will play some tokyo extreme racer though

Forza lacks a badass feedback 900 degree wheel. IMO Forza is a better game, but GT4 is a better simulation if you driving on a track solo. Forza feels fairly arcady to me. Grab a midengine car, go at the corner hard and jab the brakes and the rearend should come around hard. It doesn't, you just slow down midcorner, which is some weakass physics.
