Fixed mine, the line to the fuel pump has busted and also whoever installed the last Walbro 255 did a shitty job.

The fuel pump was just hanging by 2 wires, no isolator, no filter just full of shit.

Installed a new 255, adjusted FPR and it runs perfect now.

Yes, it would keep clicking and catch for a second and I'd have to give it gas to keep it idling just like the original post.

Why does that car have a Walbro pump? Are there any engine mods or is this just a case of pointless upgrades that aren't an upgrade?

My car? It has a fully built bottom end, 750CC injectors, and a GT2871R .86.

Here's a tip for diagnosing no crank problems with no tools:

Turn on the lights (Headlights are the best, but interior lights can work for this too.)
Watch the lights (Need a helper if you're using the headlights.) as you try to crank...

Do the lights stay bright when you turn the key to start?

If they stay bright, look into an electrical problem to the wiring feeding your solenoid or replace the starter solenoid. (Often, on newer cars, it's all one piece with the starter.)

If the lights go completely dark, look into the battery or the cables.

Normally, the lights should go a little dimmer as the engine cranks, but they should not get very dim.

You're diagnosing battery problems and power/ground problems, and not really anything else even remotely related to the starting system.

Okay.. Go ahead and start your car without a battery or disconnected power/ground cables... let me know how well that works out for ya since, you know... that's not related to the starting system.

It's not a power or a ground issue.
