Cycle whore thread

Re: Cycle whore thread
This isn't my RF but a pic I found on CF just to show the subframe, and I marked it in paint so you can see what im talking about:
The green/red slashes are where I cut the subframe off.
The purple circle is what I used to mount the back of the main seat to, I cut it and used the top area flipped to utilize the OEM bolt holes on it to bolt it to the subframe.
The blue dot is where it was mounted at.
I then used some pretty diesel plumbers strap to make mounting brackets for the tail plastics.
Didn't have the passenger seat so I cut up the old RF to work. Im pretty happy with it for using what I had availible.

Re: Cycle whore thread
well it looks good in the pics.
I wouldn't let anyone sit on that rear seat if it's just plumbers strap holding it together. I had a shorty subframe on my old fighter too, and someone sat on it, not knowing, and cracked the whole freakin rear end right off!
my subframe stopped right at the back of the front seat. The only thing attaching it at the rear was the exhaust, lol.

Re: Cycle whore thread
I was never a fan of bobbed tails, but to each thier own.
If you want some pointers on glassing that tail let me know. That tail on my old 'fighter was made from scratch. Let's just say I've had some experience with it, lol.
I still have the mold for a killer headlight setup I was going to make for my old 954 that I never did use, if you're interested also.
