Re: Western Off Topic
So today my ebrake finally stopped working,The dealer told me that the cables are stretched and need to be replaced and adjusted they gave me a quote for 270.00 but recently times got tough because of 600+ worth of vet bills. So if anyone knows a good shop that can replace my cables and adjust for a good price pm me or post up on here would be grateful since I park on a hill.

Lmao, I was thinking this or the old days of 'tray sliding'.
Seriously though, how are the cables that stretched already? I doubt they are, just that the technicians that are flat rate over there need work so they just say that it needs the cables too, when in reality a simple adjustment would probably work just fine.

No surprise there, they were all the time blowing engines and swappin stuff out. Threads popped on bimmerforum FI section si-regularly but half the time they pulled their mod strings and got them deleted.
Hack jobs, even though some of the cars were radical and fast.

When they closed they had a couple cars with the builds finished but yet to be tuned and they locked the AEM EMS so no-one could tune them. Also, there was a guy with a N54 having a twin scroll turbo build(that has taken 3+ years) and it was having issues so they just pushed it outside and told him to fuck off. Of course, they drained the paypal account he had setup for the build first.

Although I'm no mechanic, there are usually more than one adjustment you can make with an emergency/parking brake. I don't know about your car, but I know with my Jeep you don't want to adjust the cable at the handle itself.

If his car is rear disc brake and the ebrakes work via the main caliper, then yes there is only one adjustment. If it is rear disc brake and has internal drum ebrake then yes, there is definately more than one adjustment. If it rear drum brake.....then that's just gay.
