It's fun to drive. That really trumps all in this conversation since we're not talking about 1981 300D slow. It's also not unreliable unless you're retarded but it is cute that 'car enthusiasts' are accepting these arguments.
How efficient is your DD truck? Do you haul shit around for work?
My car was impractical for a DD and even more-so now with the hardtop and no access to the trunk. No back seat, no real usable trunk space to begin with, cramped, got horrible gas mileage, was underpowered when stock but all that went out the window when it comes to having a fun little affordable car to drive around.
Plus, OP, if you really like the aesthetics... GM made this cute little v8 that fits in anything on wheels which would negate 99% of the bitching in here.

that probe was later turboed and i was shitting on evos, stis etc and pissed off alot of military cats with their slow ass stock cars that they thought were unbeatable. not mentioning the money i made off those morons that thought my probe was slow.
