I've got some crayons if you need some...

I'm sorry to hear that. The guy who won best import did NOT have a display board. His WRX was hooked up very nicely, performance, and show. I persoanlly thought he was the best choice for the import category. As far as judging wise, the actual club did not have anythign to do with it. I just set up a date for another car show for us to do on August 14th. We are going to search for a charity, if anyone has a nice charity to donate too, please let me know.

Most of the bigger shows that I've done that are on the points system take points off for having a display. The show is all about the cars, not the pretty displays. I had 3 judges judging my car at once and took them over an hour to judge it, and one of the judges informed me that the little display stuff that I did have, it not nessacary and it frowned upon..

Ive also been to shows that there are trophies for best display.

ive come across both situations, so what i do is take my display, and set it up if i need it.

I can already tell what show I would rather attend.

(not a bust on Blasko by any means, just the mentality of the shows)

You do realize his WRX was VERY STOCK as far as performance goes, correct? He had some hose covers and colored hoses, and some really ugly spraypaint on his intercooler. I suppose if that is considered very nicely hooked up, then my car should be considered a god of performance, correct?

That WRX was garbage. His car has comepletely stock suspension, stock wheels, an unpainted lip kit, and 3000 stickers.

Lets compare, my car vs. the WRX:

WRX "Under the hood":

Painted STOCK intercooler
Painted STOCK intake tubing
Colored hoses
Colored wire covers
Lots of neon lights
A couple of "display" items concerning his club.

My car "Under the hood":

B16A motor swap
Precision SC32-51 Turbo
Inline Pro SS Manifold and 2.5" DP
Polished intecooler piping
HKS SS B.O.V.
Greddy FMIC
And since 'painted' parts are a big deal, I had a painted valve cover

WRX Exterior:

Stock maroon paint
Unpainted black lip kit
Stock wheels painted maroon and black
8 CF "splitters"
Decals and stickers everywhere, including random stickers that appeared to be there, simply just to be there
Boeing 747 double stack, with stickers on it of course
More neons

My car Exterior:

Mugen style ABS plastic front lip
BW sideskirts
BW rear lip
Mugen Twin Loop 2.5 Mandrel Exhaust
Tint
'Custom' paint, including the lip kit
Stanley JDM glass housing headlights
Amber corners
CF duckbill
JDM Si Foglights
16x7 Gunmetal Rota Slipstreams
Eibach/Tokico suspension

Basically the only part of the WRX that was not stock (besides the stickers) was the trunk. He had a sound system installed, thats it. Other than that, he put a bunch of stickers and neons onto a car and made it appear to be highly modified. Please, next time you have a judge for a car show, or next time you even open your mouth about a 'very nicely modded car', please, at least take the time to look over the car, and pick out what has actually been modified, because in this car, the WRX had next to nothing.
