Re: Langley Speedway September 19th!
I was at the track around 2 PM today and it was misting then. Cars coming from Langley AFB was had their wipers on.
The worse part is people wouldn't come out either for the stands or to run and they'd have an event with 10 cars and 25 people in the stands and lose their ass. Some would stay home because it "looked" like it was gonna rain.
Next week, last chance!

Re: Langley Speedway September 19th!
got there about 7:25 and had to be about 25-35 cars chilling there wondering wtf. Stoped for about 5 minutes to call a few friends and say it was a nogo and in that time another 7 or 8 cars came up and turned around.
Bummer yes, but in reality it was all probably spectators. I would say in probably 75% the usual spectator crowd, but likely only 20-25 cars. It's the racers less likely to show up then us beer drinkers.
I say tac on 1 more week! kinda sucks to end the season like this with just 1 race left... Should do a poll next week, let the crowd scream and yell to decide...

Re: Langley Speedway September 19th!
Trust me, if Lou and John decided to pull the plug, they felt pretty serious about the situation. There is absolutely no benefit for the track to call off an event. Hell, I've been there on a Saturday night last year when the fisrt race didn't get under way until almost 9PM. That night the Legends was the third race and we didn't start until almost 11PM.
