I have a couple Q's
OK i was driving around the other night and i raced my buddy. As i slowed down i looked and i saw my engine was running real hot. i pulled over to check everything and then started to here a clicking noise. i just changed the oil ( w/ synthetic) and fixed my intercooler. Im now drivning it no bc i dont wanna mess it up anymore but i am trying to get a better look at whats going on. as i rev it starts to click faster. I kinda think its a rocker arm any other ideas what it could be. Also if it is a rocker arm can i use internal parts from a N/A. if you can help me out that would be awesome.

you have to determine if it is coming from the head or the block. Head; probably need to adjust your valves. Block; might be time for a rebuild.

dang i really hope its not a rebuild. It does seem to be close to the head. i mean all i do is put my head but the engine and have someone rev it a lil and its like right there.

you need to pin point where its coming from the head or block. you said you were racing you could of floated some valves (hopefully) or need to readjust valve clearences. Could be anything from a broken retainer to a guide bouncin around. to a slipped bearing going out. my advice is don't drive until you know what it is.
where you located at ?? if your in NOVA i'll take a look at it for you.

Pull your valva cover off and take a look at your rockers, make sure they are all in place still. ANd do a valve adjustment while you have the valve cover off.

your bearing are going bad. that the same thing that happen to my d16y8. as long as you dont rev it high then you should be able to drive it around for a min to get by until you can fix it. how many mile on te engine?
