Jdm H22a instead of USDM h22a1
I blew my USDM engine due to a "faulty timing belt" which broke...and now I need a new engine (longblock) and I see a jdm h22a long block for sale for a good price...I was wondering if I could just get the jdm engine and expect the extra 10 hp with the old ecu from the usdm?? is this possible??

yeah its possible, ur ecu doesnt change the CR, the jdm just has a little bit higher cr, but truthfully jdm motors are known to have a little bit more hp cause they run 100octane out there unlike here

Yuppers, the difference in USDM and JDM power is basically in the head...as far as I understand it all...unless the pistons are domed out some in the JDM, I'm not sure. In either case you should see the slight difference in the JDM longblock than your old USDM. Or you could buy my F20B and get it all in one quick ass package.
