ok im new with this whole car thing, but... cant I just use the LCA thats on the teg now and not have to mess with the strut? just put the trailing arm on and connect it to the LCA?

yes you can just use the LCA. The trailing arms are exactly the same however the brakes differ from car to car. Only two 92-95 cars have rear disks the 92-95 Si and the 92-95 four door EX. They may be the same brakes as whats on your teg unless you have a gsr the size may differ a little bit. You can get a shop to press out the old bearings and what not to swap your brake components on to the new trailing arm... make any sense?

Ty for that redhatch. I do plan on just switching out the disc. I also do not have a gsr (maybe a type R after i grad from college lol). How do i go about swapping the disc brake to the new trailing arm? I though i just needed to unbolt it and bolt on to the new one. So far Ive done all the work on my car, just learning as I go, whether it be guide or forums. Find it better to learn rather than have someone else do all the work. Ima try to find a disc swapping guide unless u can steer me in the direction of a good oneThanks again to everyone for the help

On the back side there are torx bolts sealed with loctite holding the rear hub assembly. Manuals say to heat them to ease removal, but I have never had to heat them. Just get a good torx socket and clean the bolt head before inserting the torx. Make sure the trailing arm is held securely in a vice and that the bit is square and fully inserted into the bolt head before applying pressure. This is assuming the replacement trailing arm has drum brakes and you are replacing them with your discs. But if your bolt is broken where the LCA attaches to the trailing arm. the only way to seperate that is to cut thru the bolt & bushing on the side away from the broken head. At this point you will have to replace the bushing in the LCA. Most times you can lube the treads of the cut/damaged bolt and use vice grips to remove the bolt from the trailing arm, salvaging the trailing arm. Then you only have to buy a $9 bushing and a $3 bolt to be good as new

PS the EG EX coupes with optional anti-lock brakes also came with rear discs

thanks for all the info wheelpower. I had already gotten the bolt and the bushing out of the LCA, talk about a pain in the ASS.lol. i see the bolts necessary to put the disc brakes on the new arm. They were kinda hidden inside the arm. I had to order the LCA bushing online cause advanced auto only had bushings for the front and not rear :/. After all this fucking snows goes away ill be driving the teg again. Someone should make a thread with interchangeable parts (if their isnt already one). Thanks again to all who have helped .

you can use any civic 92-00 or integra trailing arm 94-01 and all del sol.
