In all honesty I think the problem is more LOOKS than SOUND. I bet the tickets would be fewer and further between if you just painted the muffler black, regardless of how big of a coffee can it is.

like everyone said you cant go wrong with an oval muffler. Magnaflow makes some reasonably priced ones.

Its kinda off topic but, I remember seeing somewhere that HKS made a nifty exhaust. It had a set of flaps in it that kinda resemble a vegetable steamer. There is a control unit that goes inside the car and you can open and close the flaps so you have a variable exhaust diameter. IDK just thought I would throw that out there.

flowmaster 1 chamber. havent had any tickets from that one yet on mine. the chrome mufflers call out the attention.

just go to court for them but have a baffle in it. thats what my brother did and got off of them
