Default 96-00 EJ Coilovers on 94-01 DC2

I am looking to put on stock 96-00 Shocks & Struts, to a 98 DC2. According to the research I have done, the rear LCA's on EG/DC suspension are wider (or at least the bushings if I am not mistaken). I have read that 3mm needs to be shaved off the bushing for the 96-00 Forks to fit the EG/DC LCA's in the rear. Now my actual question is, if it's the actual bushing, could I swap an EJ bushing into the EG LCA and make it fit, or is it the metal ring around the bushing itself that needs to be shaved down? Thank you for unavoidable expected flaming and criticism drag.

It's the bushing you have to shave off. Test fit the strut first to see if you can fit it on before you cut anything
