Default 96-98 Tach swaps

I just got a 96 DX hatch. It is a 5 speed with no tach in the cluster, would a 99-00 Si cluster be plug and play?

if its anything like a ef,or eg its plug and play, the harness is already wired up for a tach. The tach part was optional on the cars while the body harness are all the same.

Correct. Honda does not put different harnesses in every car.
