Default 96 Accord. engine randomly cuts off

Couple weeks ago my car engine randomly died on me. I pulled over and it started up fine. It started happening more and more frequently, and it becomes harder to start each time. After it finally cutting off on me in the HRBT I decided to get it looked at. I have a new ignition switch, and a main relay I pulled from the junk yard, and the problem is still happening. I have new sparkplugs and wires. My mechanic says I need to get a new main relay. It just seems unlikely that I would have two bad relays, and Im in a tight money situation right now. Any suggestions before I go off and by a part I dont need? I have the F22B2 engine, non vtec

Bad igniter. I would bet money on it. Can replace distributor cuz its inside it or... Call Honda dealer to get just the igniter. Also if you pull the igniter out of the distributor and its black in color...it IS the problem. And if goin to use junkyard parts...do not replace it with a black one (look for a brown one). I've Been workin on Hondas a while...if it is what you say...this will fix it. Good luck buddy.

im sure honda has a diagnostic fee of at least 80 bucks...may be like 100.

its to stop people from getting told what wrong and just fix it thereself...

there is no shop that diagnoses for free..

are you throwing a cel? does it die at idle, or when it is driving,or both? 5 speed or auto?

i love how people swear up and down they know exactly whats wrong, but have no info to go on...
