What does the transmission have to do with it? Read the thread...I dont need any more info to go on....I've worked on hondas for a long time. Now granted I haven't seen HIS car but in my experience there are only 2 reasons why a Accord would shut down and immediately fire back up. 1 would be the ign. switch which was recalled (which he said he replaced and it didnt change). And 2 would be an igniter. And I didnt swear up and down...what I said was that I MYSELF would be willin to bet MY money thats whats wrong. And I would....

not throwin any codes out...and it dies at idle, and when driving. i havent found any correlation to the rpms or temp when it shuts off. it seems completely random. it is an auto

Update...just in case someone runs into a similar problem in the future.
I got an igniter from pick n pull and replaced my other one. It turns out whoever put on the distributor before me didn't put in the distributor O ring, there was some oil on parts inside the distributor that may have been shorting out some components. I hope this igniter, along with cleaning up the oil and replacing the O ring fixes the problem. so far so good
