You can't run a sequential fuel injected engine without one, so it has to be somewhere. Check right above the oil filter on that engine, it should be around there somewhere.

Re: 96 eclipse rs- Where the hell is the Crank sensor?
eureka.... thanx man... it is directly above the filter tucked behind the alternator and somebody has butt connected the wires together so yaaaayyy the fun begins... good thing is that the colors are matched up correctly but the sensor and wires are soaked in oil so that might be my problem.... now is there any way to test the cam and crank sensors without a scope because my scanner at home doesn't have that ability?

Not really, no. You really need an o-scope to actually test them, unless you just want to see whether they have power and ground. What exactly do those two trouble codes say? They could point to a common problem, like no power to the sensors, etc.

Re: 96 eclipse rs- Where the hell is the Crank sensor?
i'm thinking it will probably be either the cam sensor or the cam sensor connector but without a scope i really don't have a way to prove it and seeing as it is not my car i'm not really just trying to guess

lol... i hope this thing doesn't develop crankwalk until its way down the road and i never have to see it again... there is a disaster of a story behind this car... my brother sold this car back in august and it never left my house cuz the girl didn't finish paying for it but my dumbass brother gave her the title and now she wants the car 7 months later and i'm just tired of it sitting here...
