97 Car wont start
I had an issue about a wk or 2 ago when my car wouldnt start it tried but didnt after a while it did and i drove home. Few dys later it happened again so i drove to advance put new spark plugs in and it started right away, next dy it started i was backing out of drive way it turned off and wouldnt start. I just got done changing the wires cap and rotor and i still have the same issue.
Its a 97 del sol si, i just had a full timing belt job done and an oil change not too long ago. I thought it was gas so i put a full tank in and still nothing.

When you say it won't start, what is it not doing? Is it not cranking? Is it cranking but not doing anything else? Is it cranking and stumbling?

Yes it cranks, it makes the noise kind of similar to how when i was out of gas and it would make that noise but no start. I have a full tank so thats not the issue.

Just because you have a full tank of gas doesn't mean the motor is getting fuel. Turn the key to the on position and see if you hear the fuel pump priming. It's in the rear of the car. You should hear a humming for a couple seconds then it cut off.
Or you can pull the return line for the fuel off the fuel pressure regulator and prime the car. Put a rag up to the fuel pressure regulator because it will squirt fuel.
This way is messy but will tell you if you're getting fuel up to the motor. If you're getting fuel and spark then you have another problem.
Also, where are you located?
