No, turbos are not more reliable than vtec. But a properly boosted motor can still be very reliable.

so is ls/vtec really worth all the trouble?
oh and do i need a knock sensor since im using the stock ecu and vtec controller?

you are doing nothing with that but sucking in Hot Engine bay air, at least go with a Cold air

If your going to do an ls, find a b16 head and go lsvtec. much easier than going turbo.

right now i plan on going ls/vtec and just building the motor after that upgrading parts here and there.
