I recently just painted my engine bay and put the motor back in. When we got everything in and went to start it and nothing. It cranks over but won't get spark to fire. We checked all grounds plugs and wires. Everything was in perfect running condition when pulled out. Anyone ever had a problem like this? Any ideas? Thanks

you had a running motor before. it would make sense that it should run again after you returned it. go over each connector again. un-plug and re-connect EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE. it is easy to miss one and not be able to visually see it is not making good contact.

you stated that you "painted" your engine bay, correct? if so, then you need to go over all of the ground points where they bolt in the engine bay! sounds like you are getting poor ground through the freshly painted bay! hope that this helps!

Yuo need to check injection pulse. This can be done with a test light or if you do not have one you can use a 12v bulb and socket and KOEO you should have bat voltage on one side and 0 volts on the other. Hook your test light to pos. or one side of your bulb to pos. the other end to the injector harness that has 0 volts get someone to crank it, the bulb should blink if not and you have no spark check cam and crank signature with a labscope if you have good signal there then you need to check powers and grounds at PCM if every thing is good there you have a bad PCM. If you have any further questions you can contact me at askbobby@bobbyoakleyautomotive.com
