thanks and yes i already purchased a new bracket piece for the sensor 45 bucks from the dealer.
vtec kicks in randomly so i def think that its that broken speed sensor! should be here tomorrow ill keep yall posted.

i had a problem with mine when the wire for the vtec solenoid came unplugged. fixed the wire and vtec still didnt work. i had to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it. worked fine after that. idk if this will help or not, just a suggestion

i keep bumping for any new advice but fixed it tonight with new speed sensor key and bracket. thanks goes out to everyone who gave good advice.
