Default B18C1 Question?

On the back side of the block there is a black metal canister that has an opening that goes through the block into the crankshaft/rod area. It has a valve thing at the top that connects to the bottom of the intake manifold by a rubber hose. What is this canister and can you buy the little valve thing at the top where the rubber hose from the I/M connects to the canister.
