I would say go B20vtec with a B16 head first, only because it will provide you with the opportunity to get a block guard, cometic gasket, and golden eagle head studs... But after you have a vtec head, then buy a turbo kit and run 10psi.. You will be amazed at how much air flow this motor combination will support.

it depends on what you want to do. if you want to go fast then boost it. but have another bottom end to build on why you drive the b20 setup so you can come out built b20 vtec turbo and have a true monster street car. not suggesting going cr-vtec with boost without a build bottom and arp everything so it will hold togetehr. rather run good then run bad and go fast!

Id say go with B20 vtec for sure... but im very pro to all motor..... not that I dont think it would be fast b20 turbo but id say build a very strong b20 vtec something about 240whp in a civic really gets me going :-)

All motor and Boost have completely different powerbands. Both have the same potential. A 200hp all motor car and a 300hp boosted car averaging the same weight and depending on the lag of the turbo based on size are usually side by side in a race. All motor is usually consistent pull right off the line. Boost you usually only have your peak power once your spooled and usually have a useless bottom 3-4k rpms. Then again boost is typically the way people choose to go as a decent all motor setup takes a experienced engine builder to build something reliable. Boost also can have advantages and disadvantages as there are a lot of quality and garbage parts out there. If you do b20vtec then your going to be wanting to rev the engine out and in that case is recommended to run a crank girdle such as what gsr and type r come factory with. Whichever you decide to go with make sure you tune, tune, tune. The tune makes the car. Without a good tune it doesnt matter if you have $10 or $10k in your setup it'll be garbage. Do your research heavily. And happy building!!!

You are going to have to do serious internal work to come anywhere close to being as fast as a decent turbo b20 setup. A properly built all motor setup can be very fun though in the right chassis
