If it makes the OP feel any better, my battery died today
Weird thing is it's less than 2 years old.

Optima battery, red, yellow, or blue, with the best cold cranking amps you can get. Its bat-shit expensive, but it will last hella long compared to the other dook "performance" batteries out there, BAR NONE.

Diehard sucks fat ones. Interstate couldnt jump start a big wheel in two years. Exide can kiss my ass.

As far as traditional batteries go, Interstate makes the best aftermarket one with the exception of certain Vartas that cannot be purchased in the US except as a manufacturer's OEM. The thing is, they also make crap ones so it's easy to get the idea that they make nothing good. MB actually sells some Vartas that use the same general type of tech as Optima, but are better. Optima doesn't even make a battery with as many CCA as the large Varta sold through MB. That mine crapped out is a fluke, I've never had one go less than 6 years and I've had one go as long as a decade.

Makes me feel much better...not really but Optima batteries are beast if you have the money. I left my lights on once n enjoyd hours of funn at Kings Dominion n felt like I dumbass when I got back to my car. It didn't start the first time I turned the key but it did the 2nd time. I haven't read the differences in them but I had the Yellow Top Optima.
