The MAF doesn't care, it's already measured the airmass. The engine never gets the air though, so it's got less than the measured amount, and that freaks the ECU out in closed loop mode. It gets worse if you have a MAP sensor also (read: WRX) so that the MAF and MAP values don't really match what the volum. efficiency tables say they should.

well yah see the real problem with it is that when you steal peoples money you arnt as cool anymore and your coolness meter (which is right next to your vtec fluid reservoir) is way down. Therefore your BOV is not blowing off because u are not cool enough.
