Check the brake switch that gets actuated by the brake pedal. COuld also be a stalk switch problem, but I don't remember enough about how the Honda lighting circuits are configured (how the lights in the taillight assembly are wired) to be able to predict.

Are you seeing any problems with the radio, dash lights, gauges, anything like that? There are various subcircuits that tap off the main circuits, and corrosion at those tap points can sometimes be a problem. Nissan was really bad for that on some models, they used a spade connector that would corrode and cause all kinds of problems. I spent a few hours scratching my head a troubleshooting a girl's Maxima, finally tracked it down and fixed it with some steel wool in 2 or 3 minutes, and I've heard of lots of other people having similar problems.. Stupid design.

I was also going to mention the switch down by the pedal.

alright so i think your right because i can wiggle some of the wires and they will work but as i drive they get loose and then they will not work. so any ideas on how to fix it?

i think in the bundle of wires that come off the brake pedal, haven't really gotten a chance to look at it hard due to work and paramedic school :\
