im assuming it's not broken in yet? maybe wait for it to break in, it will prolly get better.

or since the clutch is grabier, it chatters.
its broken in. I put it in probably in July. I would guess i have 5-7k miles on it by now.

Friction changes with temperature, so it could be something as simple as that. It is probably slipping more (and chattering less) during engagement when it's cold. If it's engaging properly and doesn't have any performance issues, I'd forget about it. It is odd that it's not chattering when cold also, because usually it happens all the time like most of the people have said so far. Sounds like it works fine though.

As has been stated, a bit of chatter is common with aftermarket clutches. My car does the exact same thing. No chatter on startup but will start once warmed up ect. I'm sure cars vary depending on the clutch/flywheel setup, type of car, miles on clutch and so on but what your describing sounds normal.

If it were a real problem you would know (i.e. obviously violent chatter, slipping clutch, ect)
