yes it is im haveing a hard time understanding stuff like fuel maps but im trying to lean as much about this stuff as i can i still need hardware like a chip burner and such but untill i get one of those im gonna get all the info i can

If you just need a tune, a little money for a dyno tune at a shop can do wonders. You don't have to do all of this yourself if you don't want.

Disabling the ELD circuit won't do anything unless you have an ELD fault or have some other genuine reason to do so. There are some ECU hardware mods that can trigger the ELD fault, but there is no need to disable it for performance gains. Leave it alone unless you have to.

I think you can burn chips with any version of Crome. It's an editing program, so I'd imagine it would be fairly useless without being able to burn the file to a chip once it's been edited. It's been years since I've used Crome, someone else can probably answer that better.
