Default D-Series Motor Question

When you're replacing a USDM D16y8 with a JDM D16y8 (my motor's blown and I'm too broke to go B-series...), is there anything different you need to do? I've heard 2 sides to the story. I've heard you can't use some of the USDM parts, but then I've heard you can. I was just wondering what you guys' thoughts are.

which parts are you looking to swap around? i wouldnt see why many parts would be different....considering it would cost honda more to make castings for parts if they're only going to be slightly different...i dont see why any would be different.

My guess would be swap the harness for a us one if there was a egr valve there will not be one on the j-spec model, every thing else should work.
