Eclipse gs transformed to gsx

Re: Eclipse gs transformed to gsx
Short answer. NO.
Requires cutting/welding for the rear end as well as the engine. The 420a sits on the opposite side from a 4g63. So again more cutting and welding.
You would be better off selling your car and buying a AWD.
There are MANY DSM resources on the internet. GOOGLE!

Also as far as changing the horsepower balance your going to need AEM and I recommend going with the evo's AWD. It spins in the opposite direction which helps balance out the turbo

Another non-believer!
I just traded my 10 sec 1G TSI AWD for a NA + $500 dollars so I can do this conversion. Sooo easy! The previous owner (hope he doesn't see this post) thought he got such a great deal - fo0Oolyo!
I looked under the frame and it is virtually a bolt on with like $10 worth of parts from the parts yard.

Re: Eclipse gs transformed to gsx
Op I have done this swap before for about $478.99.
The valve cover is the only difference with the engine. The rear end from a mighty mac is cheaper and easier to find and stronger and you can use the gas tank from a 92-95 civic they bolt right in. Also a driveshaft from a 98 volvo bolts right in to a plugged hole on the back of the transmission and BAM!!! AWD.
