Thumbs up Exhaust decision

00 LS Integra T3/T4 turbo kit. Wondering what exhaust set-up I should go it. Either a full cat-back (Greddy SP, Tanabe Super Medallion, Apexi) or some custom work with an open down pipe or something. Just asking for a some input.

I ran open downpipe for about 3months in the summer. Wasn't too loud, never did get pulled over for it. But after a while I kinda wanted a quiet exhaust. I have full 3" custom exhaust w/ cat and some off brand muffler. On track days you can always disconnect it and run open dp.

For the cost look towards K-teller. I have installed a few of there systems with out any issue. I deal with them from time to time and alway get good service.

I was def thinking 3" but I was wondering if I should get that pipe from custom car care that electronically switches from exaust to open downpipe. That way I can run a quiet exhaust daily and open it up when I want to run it.

I am also a custom fabricator. Here's my take on this:

*If you run a 2.5 inch system, run a 3 inch DP with an exhaust cut or run a full 3 inch system. On either set-up, you should have a removable section after the O2 sensor that you can take off for track days. Most people dont use catalytic converters. The cat is replaced with a flex pipe.

I hope your motor is tuned..... you are not running an FMU set-up are you?

Its tuned with greddy E-manage at this time,I'm running a fmu and a secondary fuel pump as well. I just got that finished yesterday evening but the stock exhaust is killing the power.

The issue I see there is the secondary O2 sensor. You are still OBD2, which means that you have to retain the cat. otherwise, you'll throw a CEL. Your cat restricts a lot of exhaust gas flow. I'm not saying that it is the only issue you have to tackle.

What I dont get is, why are you running an E-mange and an FMU at the same time? E-manage is already equipped to recalibrate the MAP sensor output. Are you running a missing link as well?

No, im only running the fmu right now temporarly until I get the 550cc injectors in. I was runnning the e-manage by itself at first but the injectors didnt have enough pressure when pushing on it and it was running lean. So temporarly we installed an FMU that we had and its not runnin lean at this time. As soon as I get the bigger injectors in, the fmu is coming out.
