Well, you've got half of it correct... the half where RPM makes valves float. Boost pressure or HP have very little to do with that, at least not enough to be able to arbitrarily assign hard and fast numbers to. You can actually calculate the RPM where the valves will float if you know the cam profile, RPM, valve/retainer/spring mass (the spring mass is a little tricky to assume because only a certain amount is in motion at any given time), and things like that. Other things like boost pressure and cylinder pressure profiles have a minor effect compared to the huge forces of rotating everything at a whatever RPM.

if this engine is already built than why did you make your previous thread on what engine to swap into your prelude for MO POWA!? you never stated anything about it being built in the last thread. also you didn`t really start moving into the FI direction till i mentioned the sohc f22 having a oem iron cast sleeve which makes it an ideal block for boosting...

with that said and your engine is built than who is to say it was built for boost? at this point for all you know it could have been built for NA and has high compression...or is it built for FI with lower compression. and if you had built it i would assume you would have known enough already to never start this thread. basically what im getting to here is ....i don`t think you honestly have a built engine and further more you have alot of learning to do on google. PERHAPS searching up a sohc f22 turbo build thread and seeing what direction other people have gone in. not to mention basic reviews between various people on the interwebs about brands, parts blah blah blah etc.

this is a rough site, vadriven doesn't spoon feed people knowledge it spoon feeds people napalm and google spam. sorry but no one is just going to give you all the answers, they expect you to learn it the same way everyone else did. Trial and error or sit back search and read all damn night. if you hit a snag mid way into your build and have a more direct question than MAYBE at that point this site will be more helpful.
