skunk2 pro1 cams
springs/retainers/gears
IM and throttle body
Rage header
hondata/tuning
rc310s

that's my setup, except I have s2s2 cams... I would rather have pro 1s though

I agree..however, With 3 - 5k thats about all he's going to get. Your list was great.....but figure in machine work and assembly, flywheel, clutch and you are at about 7 grand.

It doesn't have too cost 7k if you are careful and shop around. I just finished a 2.0l GSR build last month with ALL the options and the total bill came to $5370 That's even with a real porting, portmatching, balancing, and coatings.
It can be done...you just got to have alittle patience.

ok, how about the set up with the cams and springs and retainers that EGBOBBY want to sell? OK then what pistons and rods? Should I go with type R? I can get a hook up at honda for parts. Now what about a thicker head gasket? Or stock should be good? Now whats a hondata? I hear everyone talking about them. Never messed with one, is it like a vafc? or safc? Where the best place to shop for aftermarket honda parts? Thanks for your help!

fuck those cams....

they have a bad habit of wearing out rocker arms in about 200 miles.

Skunk2, blox, buddy club, some name brand cams....

I don't want to hear anyone cry about spending $700 on cams either. When I had my type r, there were 2 options; Jun and Toda. and they both cost about $1200
