Ever heard of Bisi Ezieriha , well that's who built it. Bisi has run a 10.23@130mph all motor SOHC F23 motor from an Accord. Back to head cc, WTF? The compression would be close to 900:1 to 1000:1 cr. Damn right Volvos are awesome

Now if you have a 0cc combustion chamber in the head and say a -50cc dome displacement this would be an 8:1 CR on a B16A, I dont know the stroke or bore of the Volvo engine or the headgasket thickness and deck height so I dont know what it would be on there and the advantages of this anyways

I like Saabs variable combustion chamber technology! If we had something in our Hondas like that start off with high compression down low for spool up and/or low end torque and for Turbo motors lower the CR up top when full boost hits, it would be even cooler if you could actually somehow control it too!

OK OK OK, I got what you're saying. A totally flat head with a deep dished piston. I think some old Harley Davidson Motors were like that. Teh only advantage I could think of would be that the motor could be made more compact thanks to the thinner head. Other than that, it's a less efficiant design.
