HELP!: Gsr swap in EK
I dropped a '98 gsr motor in a '98 civic coupe. The b-series header/exhaust manifold doesn't fit with the fatory civic cat exhaust. For one thing, it's about 3 inches too short and also the line up is offset by about 2.5 inches. Do i need a d-series header or what do i need to do?

Off the top of my head, an Integra LS cat maybe what you need to make this a bolt on affair. Another option would be to get an exhaust shop to weld a flex pipe in for you to fill in the gap.

Re: HELP!: Gsr swap in EK
Long story short, (shorter header is a gsr) the long header in the pic is the one that was on the engine but has a hole about the size of a quarter when my piston/rod pushed through the block and put a hole in it. apparently that header fit perfectly. perfect length, pefect line up. don't know the name brand or year, the guy before had it on the engine, can't locate the guy. I would like to buy that header for a perfect fit instead of going through all the trouble of the muffler shop. But here are some pics of the problem. and also thanks for all the help so far.
This is actually a '98 type r header from my friend which is on the car right now.

Re: HELP!: Gsr swap in EK
I would take it to an exhaust shop. If you already have the cat, it shouldn't be much for them to make an extension that will connect. Also, request a rotating flange, as that will help you if you decided to change your header down the road.
