ctr pistion in gsr motor is around 12:1 cr

Def. bump up the compression to use some hi-lift cams.. you will need some tough springs to rev that motor where the power is, you don't want floating valves. You better have $$$ for Honda N/A.

12's are easy with a gsr in a eg hatch. Maybe not on street tires, but still easy. Jspecb18c had a jdm type-r in his eg hatch, with only i/h/e and hondata running a 13.02. Bone stock really.
