It is also for when you race on the salt plains. It prevents 1 drag and 2 sand from getting back there and slowing you down and destroying yo shit from the salt.

ill just remove my rear bumper at the track if i ever feel like its acting like a parachute.

It would probably be better to cover the bottom of your car with a sheet of aluminum to prevent drag all along the underside.

Yeah, but then you are going to have people comment about that being ricer and you will mess with the aerodynamics design of your car and create lift at higher speeds.

I don't have a link about it, I saw it on the speed chanel a few years ago. And I learned it in one of my classes I took at API about 5 years ago,

damn jarrod you think im on your nuts or something? lol, it deff wont you who described it, where i read it. i read it on here by some guy with a all out race car hacthback for-sale and he had those holes.....maybe 2 months ago...

won't create lift. A fully smooth underside should create downforce..
