Re: Honda ECU question
Oh, that's what you wanted to know..
Yes, the P06 is the same ECU as a P28, but without the vtec parts. Xenocron carries the vtec parts for about $20 (ripoff, but they're hard to find) and they can be installed at the same time as having the ECU chipped. SO then you'll end up with a chipped P28. I'm not really doing much chipping because I don't have much time (full time school) or the equipment anymore (I'm not a professional electronics tech anymore)..
The P06/P28/P30 all use the exact same circuit board, they just have some parts installed or not. P06 + vtec parts = P28, P28 + knock sensor board = P30. Any of these can also have lockup solenoid drivers installed and become auto tranny ECUs. It's all in the program.. If you have a B16 or something like that, add vtec parts to your P06, chip it, and use a P30 program with the knock sensor disabled in the program. Or Hondata, whatever..

Re: Honda ECU question
Open the ECU, and point the connectors toward your left. In the lower right corner, you will be looking at this. If there are parts there, you won't see the blank areas surrounded by the red lines (you'll see a chip socket, etc.). The vtec parts are a little harder to identify, you'll have to send me a pic of the inside of the ECU for identification.
