Keep it simple lower it on Skunk 2's, put some nice quiet exhaust something like Apexi, N1,or world sport, 3inch intake. Forget about a GSR engine. Buy you a vtec head. Golden Eagle kit. P28 crome computer, run a type r base map. Who ever chips the ECU will give you a free base map.

the only problem with lsvtec is reliability. it can be done with reliability if you get a good shop to do it. then you go over your 2k budget maybe. plus when you go to resale your teggy, id bet it wont sell as well as youd think.

There were some really good suggestions in this link.
https://www.vadriven.com/forums/tech-talk-9/addin-more-hp-my-ls-280708/
My advice to you is to do TONS of research before you start modding. Some parts wont work well with others. Some parts work better than with others. For instance, the exhaust that may give you the most horsepower and torque with a stock integra will probably not be the best exhaust for a turbo'd integra.

There is no problems with lsvtec besides rodbolts being to short and how there not factory crank girdled engines.
You hear people having reliability issues because they try and rev them up 8-9k rpm without any bottom end work.
Therefore they throw rods, spin bearings, etc.
Although OP you prolly wont know what any of that means. It means there is a safe way to upgrade your engine with the right builder.
Easiest way to gain power is buy a thinner headgasket or mill the head which can give slight compression gains. Compression = Power (in the Honda Scene)
Better flowing intake manifold and throttlebody combination and a full exhaust setup will all give a good power gain and streetability.
Research what ive told you and if you'd like i can even help build or mod it and you learn along the way.
Hands on is really the only way to learn besides trying to do internet research on everything.
Plus I work for cheap!
