i feel stupid even asking someone this question.
i was changing my girls c/d player and putting in a different one. now for some odd reason its not turning on. ive checked all the fuses and wires. everything looks good to me. do you think that there might be by chance a grounded wire ?

Did you cut anything? Did you actually buy the correct harness? What car? Do you have a multimeter? Did you check all the fuse boxes?

and check the fuse in the back of the radio, usually by the plug
and if you cant get it to work...run a wire direct from battery and into the red and yellow wires, ground it and it will power up if its a working radio

mine did the same thing in my sentra last week when i put in my new cd player. for mine i had taped off the blue wire and it ended up not powering on when i started the car but i can manually turn it on. make sure the ground is touching clean metal too, my dumbass made the mistake of attaching it to dirty metal.
