ok ill do that...i bought a couple extra chips just in case
thanks alot fabrik...also i bought the chip on ebay skunk2 map 9k redline 4.7k vtak and 4k two step (only reason i bought it)

It sounds like you have a solid cel which means you are in limp mode. If you cut the j1 jumper does the cel come on and off like normal when you turn the key to the on position? If so then you know its just something messed up with your chipping job and not the ecu itself.

The capacitors aren't going to solve your problem. They're just there for local power supply decoupling to reduce high frequency noise on the +5V supply to the PROM (big chip) and the 'HC273.. They're a good idea, but they won't solve your problem.

bring it back to whoever chipped it. it could be a bad connection for the socket or he crossed something up. or your chip is not set in all the way.
