You are correct sir, My memory fades me sometimes...
But if your valves need adjusted.. I would think that Might cause the issue but Im not much on internal diagnosing..
I know you have replaced the Distributor so this may not apply but after a bit of searching I came up with this... (See attached files) I'll continue to look around and see what I can come up with..
Code 9 is cylinder position sensor not the crank position sensor but they are both inside the dizzy but if u just bought a OEM dizzy from Honda and the CEL came back on then I'd start checking the resistance in ur dizzy wires....cuz it could be building up resistance inside the wires

valves are adjusted, wiring checked out, reset the ecu and the light went off and came right back on. Any honda geniuses on here that can lead me in the right direction?

the method airborne attached, with a multi meter as well as checking the continuity from the dizzy plug to the ecu. whats on your mind?
